Devolver Digital has announced that creepy card adventure Inscryption will arrive on PlayStation consoles this August.

The game, originally launched on PC last year, is a unique adventure that’s equal parts deck-builder, escape room and horror. You find yourself sitting at a table across from a sinister figure known only as Leshy, who you can only see by the glow of his eyes. You’ve no memory of how you ended up Leshy’s prisoner, but he offers you freedom if you play a round of cards. Of course, these aren’t normal cards – and things soon get weird, very quickly.

We first got wind of the game’s PlayStation release earlier this month, when it popped up on an Australian ratings board. However, with the official announcement we now have word of some PlayStation exclusive features. These include the voice of your companion – a talking stoat card – through the DualSense’s speaker. The game will also make use of the lights in the controller, and a bit of Haptic feedback too.

There’s no word if the game will be heading to any other consoles just yet. It’s picked up plenty of awards on PC, including a BAFTA for Game Design, so it wouldn’t surprise us if the other consoles want dealt in too. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for yourself below. Inscryption arrives on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 from August 30.
