ChAIR Entertainment has announced that multiplayer will be heading to Infinity Blade in a free update this Thursday. Infinity Blade: Arena will allow two players – a knight and a titan – to challenge each other to duels via Game Center.

The update also introduces Survivor mode, which tasks players with surviving in battle against an endless wave of titans.

You’ll also get new rings, swords, shields, and helmets, as well as special ‘Holiday Helms’, which offer seasonal protection for your noggin.

On top of all this, new Facebook integration allows players to view their character on their profile and take screen grabs to share with friends.

ChAIR has also teased “some new surprises!”, but it seems they’re going to remain just that: a surprise.

In my Infinity Blade review back in December, I awarded the game an impressive 8/10, claiming it was “the best looking game on the App Store”, with “solid combat and surprisingly deep role-playing features.”

The free update will go live this Thursday.
