Infinity Blade 3 will release on iOS next Wednesday, September 18, Epic Games and ChAIR have announced, and will be the first game to make use of the new 64-bit A7 processor powering the iPhone 5s.

Announced on stage during Apple’s new iPhone announcement last night, a demo featured a battle against the Dragon, a new recurring enemy throughout Infinity Blade 3. The Dragon has persistent health, meaning that players will eventually weaken the Dragon enough for an epic battle.

The sequel sees Siris return for a final showdown against the Worker of Secrets, who has gathered an army of Deathless Titans and seeks the destruction of the entire world. In addition, Isa, Siris’ female companion from Infinity Blade 2, is now a playable character and offers a different style of fighting with a crossbow for ranged combat.

“It’s been amazing to see the continued success of Infinity Blade and to have the ability to tell a complex story across different mediums, using a single device we take wherever we go,” said ChAIR creative director Donald Mustard.. “We’re so proud of Infinity Blade 3 and feel it not only offers a powerful finale to the series, but also gives mobile gaming another giant push forward.”

Infinity Blade 3 will be priced $6.99 and is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini, iPod touch 4, and iPod touch 5.

A UK price has yet to be announced.
