French studio Darkworks, known primarily as the former developer of I Am Alive, has announced its upcoming horror FPS Black Death.
According to the game’s official website, Black Death is the story of a chemical fog that mysteriously spreads through a city on the east coast of the United States, turning its citizens into mutants.
Users will have the ability to control the fog, as well as create new chemical weapons, and decide whether to cure or kill the mutants.
According to the website:
“Black Death is the personification of the fear generated by the recent pandemics and the mistrust which has been associated to their supposed origins
“Our goal with Black Death is to go one step further by focusing the game on three essential elements: speed, fluidity and freedom of action, to offer the player a sensation of freedom and the possibility to create his own arsenal.”
In 2008 Darkworks announced they were working on the action game I Am Alive, however it has since gone MIA, with many assuming its cancellation.
Black Death is in development for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
