Publisher No More Robots has revealed not one, but two follow-up games to retro-themed adventure Hypnospace Outlaw.
First up is Dreamsettler, which is pitched as the more straight sequel of the two games. Set in the same universe as the first game, it moves things further ahead in time. Rather than exploring an alternate universe 90s internet, youâll now be browsing one set in the year 2003. Once again, however, youâll be playing the role of a digital private eye.
Once more, youâll be browsing the weird collection of websites, taking on requests from users via email. Youâll then download images, apps, videos and more to raise your profile and your detective score. However, youâll soon also uncover a new conspiracy that threatens to change sleep-time computing forever.
The second game is Slayers X, Or to give the game itâs full title: Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer. Created by Zane Loften (A.K.A. ZANE_ROCKS_36 from the first game) this first person shooter is a love-letter to classic 90s FPS like the original Doom and Quake. Expect guns galore and plenty of nods to its forebears, given a full Hypnospace twist.
We really enjoyed Hypnospace Outlaw a lot back on its 2019 release, so weâre up for spending more time in the gameâs universe. Thereâs no specific release date for either game just yet, although you can sign up for the beta of either here. Both Hypnospace Outlaw follow-up games are coming âsoonâ to PC and consoles. You can check out trailers for both down below.
