The disgusting bugs forces of the alien Terminids are no longer content scurrying around desolate planets. Following the arrival of the Illuminate, the classic Helldivers 2 enemies have decided to spread their insect filth across Super Earth’s beautifully democratic cities, and entire planets may be at risk.
With a new Warbond leaked alongside a bunch of new weapons and armour, huge gameplay changes are coming to Helldivers 2. While we’re not sure if the game’s worrying spacetime fluctuations are going to result in a massive Super Earth invasion today, a host of new goodies are coming to the popular multiplayer game alongside more pesky bugs.
Helldivers 2 bugs travel to urban environments
As leaked by renowned leaker IronS1ghts, who previously revealed new Automaton enemies and an upcoming weapons attachment system, the termanids are (almost) officially making their jump from empty Super Earth military outposts to urban environments.

Just like the Illuminate did back during Christmas, the pesky bugs have figured out how to invade Super Earth’s colonies. Now, Bile Titans will crush buildings as you run through alleyways to avoid swarms of disgusting creepy crawlies.
Just like the propaganda advertisement form the start of the game, Super Earth’s dedicated citizens are no longer safe. With their own skybox and unique differences from the current urban maps, the bugs will be destroying Super Earth’s way of life in their own way.
With a Super Earth invasion on the horizon, it seems that Super Earth’s most devout divers will need to put in overtime as all three enemy forces step up their game. However, it turns out that an invaded city isn’t the biggest issue on the horizon.
Entire planets are screwed
Also leaked by Iron_S1ghts, entire planets are now at risk of being destroyed. While the exact gameplay mechanics have yet to be revealed, Helldivers 2 game files can now blow up with a new “Planet Explode” effect discovered within the game.
Hopefully, our beautiful Super Earth doesn’t suffer this fate, but it seems that some planets housing colonies of civilians won’t make it as the galactic war increases in tenacity.
