A sequel to the sweartacular House of the Dead: Overkill is currently in development, with a release planned early in 2011, a source close to SEGA has told nintendolife.
Currently under the development codename, House of the Dead: Overkill 2, few details are known, but a Wii release is assumed.
SEGA gave no comment.
The first game was released in February 2009 to favourable reviews and modest sales – last summer Gary Dunn, MD of European development for SEGA, said the game was a “profitable title”.
However, early this year SEGA of America studio director Constantine Hantzopoulos dashed hopes of further matures titles on the Wii, telling 1UP: “Are we going to do more mature titles for the Wii? Probably not.”
Could the rumoured House of the Dead be transitioning to a new platform?
