An Xbox One exclusive Homefront: The Revolution closed beta will run February 11 to 14, offering players the chance to experience the newly announced Resistance Mode, Deep Silver has announced.
Resistance Mode is a four-player co-operative online experience in which you form a Resistance Cell with your friends, and wage guerrilla warfare against the KPA. The game will ship with 12 narrative-driven missions, with lots more to come as free content later in the year.
“Homefront: The Revolution is this team’s most ambitious project yet,” said Hasit Zala, game director at Dambuster Studios. “In addition to our epic 30+ hour single-player campaign, we expect to launch Resistance Mode with twelve Missions, packed with re-playability, and hope to release another twenty Missions within the first year.”
Places in the closed beta are limited, but Deep Silver and Xbox will be running a number of promotions over the coming days and weeks that will offer access.
In addition to the closed beta, a series of stress tests are to take place on Jan 29 and February 5, so be sure to register your details on homefront-game.com for a chance to be selected.
Deep Silver has also announce the Revolutionary Spirit pre-order pack, which includes:
- The Red Skull motorbike skin for campaign
- The Golden skin for your pistol for campaign
- Instant unlocks of the Marksman Rifle, Sniper Scope and Remote Explosives for your Resistance Mode character
Homefront: The Revolution is scheduled for release May 20 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, with Mac and Linux versions also in development.
