Arrowhead has been taking player feedback very seriously. They’ve always tried listening to the community, but they’re listening more than ever before right now as evidenced with the slate of upcoming weapon buffs. While a lot of community engagement is calibrated through online socials, Helldivers 2 in-game comms are being “looked into” to allow for more feedback.

The new HD2 update is scheduled for tomorrow, and you can check out the early patch notes right now, and you can also check out a newly surfaced leak that possibly spoils some of the weapon buffs yet to be announced. In addition to this imminent patch, don’t forget we also have The Chemical Agents Warbond releasing on September 19th, bringing some bug spray with new armor and stylish capes.

While tomorrow’s patch is exciting, it won’t be the end of improvements for Helldivers 2. There will be more updates based on player feedback, and hopefully one day Arrowhead will make it easier for freedom fighters to share their opinions.

Arrowhead want to add “in-game comms” in Helldivers 2

On the Helldivers Discord, Arrowhead has been engaging player feedback through polls and forms. Some forms have reached as many as 11,000 submissions, but obviously there are way more soldiers part of the fight for liberty.

Obviously not everyone has a Discord account, and a lot of people simply do not pay attention to socials at all. The community is aware of this and so is Arrowhead.

Through the Discord, a user posted, “I feel like any kinds of polls and questionnaires with player feedback should be done in-game to allow wider audience”. They asked community manager, Twinbeard, if there is “Any info on if that can be done with possible future advancements of the social menu?”.

Twinbeard responded, “Agreed. We want in-game comms. It’s being looked into. If or when: no ETA yet”.

The above reply isn’t super in-depth, but at least we know it’s something “being looked into,” therefore possible for the future. Getting as much feedback as humanly possible could only be a good thing for the game moving forward, especially with how much HD2 is clearly improving following the succession of feedback from fans on Discord.
