Like a lot of multiplayer games, Helldivers 2 has daily tasks with rewards to keep the community coming back on a daily basis. These Personal Orders always seem to fluctuate between easy and hard, with some dubbed absolutely ludicrous. One of the most absurd Helldivers 2 daily challenges has just recently popped up, and it has the whole community convinced personals are 100% auto-generated.

Arrowhead has laid out a 60-day roadmap for HD2, and this includes their next update which is set to land on September 17th. They have already confirmed that the update will focus on balance fixes for weapons as well as enemies. Arrowhead is listening to fan feedback and catering to the desire of the community, but they are hesitant about making changes to bots because it could lead to “bigger repercussions“.

While the upcoming update is something to anticipate, right now all the community has to enjoy is completing daily tasks. Unfortunately, one of the recent Personal Orders has been dismissed as laughable by the Helldivers 2 community.

Helldivers 2 fans convinced Personal Orders are auto-generated

On the Helldivers 2 subreddit, OP HellDD6 shared a post titled, “This has to be a joke right? ArrowHead expects 100 kills with the 500 but then we get this??”. The post is accompanied by an in-game screenshot of a Personal Order asking the player to “Kill 40 enemies using the Eagle Cluster Bomb”.

Many of the replies agree with the OP’s sentiment that the above Personal Order was laughable. One of many replies says, “They [Arrowhead] think the big bomb kills more than the little bombs, and because they don’t play the game they have no idea it’s the other way around”.

A lot of the replies agree with the above sentiment. One user responded, “Anyone who ever brought 500kg on a mission knows its a single target bomb. That order was ridiculous and two throws cluster convinces me AH have no idea what does what”. Another user believes, “I’m convinced the 500kg is not working as intended and they just haven’t noticed. Makes no sense to animate a massive explosion and give it a tiny blast radius”.

In addition, this Personal Order has fans convinced that the daily tasks are 100% auto-generated with no human input. Many comments echo the sentiment, “I think that the personal order system is entirely randomly generated and humans only step in when it breaks. I mean look at all the ‘kill 5’ tasks in the past”.

More replies say, “At this point i think these are just randomly generated with no human input or oversight,” and, “It’s clearly just automatically generated, there’s no thought put into these”.

It’s not official that Personal Orders are auto-generated, but it would make sense judging by the sheer randomness. Fans are also not against the idea of them being auto-generated as it frees the developers from less menial tasks so they can focus on bigger jobs.
