Joystiq has learned that the exciting head tracking feature revealed for EA’s Wii title Boom Blox back in February won’t be included in the final game that arrives in stores next month.

Senior producer Amir Rahimi confirmed the removal of the feature to the gaming blog at the recent Nintendo Media Summit. This news was also confirmed by Nintendo of America PR.

“Head-tracking was something we considered including as an Easter egg in BOOM BLOX however, we did not end up including it in the final version of the game,” explained the Nintendo PR email.

We were looking forward to trying out head tracking, but we’ll now have to make do with watching the VR head tracking Wii videos on YouTube.

Boom Blox is scheduled for release in the UK on May 9.
