Halo: The Master Chief Collection will offer players the option of keeping the original control schemes of each game, or a unified control scheme, Halo franchise director Frank O’Connor has told Financial Post.
GamesBeat explains that a number of universal controller schemes will be available which will work across all four games. Players won’t, however, be able to use the Halo 3 specific control scheme as a universal option because of its poor functionality with other titles in the collection.
Purists will likely stick to the original control set-ups, but everyone else may benefit from easily being able to switch between games without getting their fingers in a muddle.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection launches November 11 for Xbox One.
