343 Industries has dropped another video for its upcoming shooter Halo Infinite, this one entitled The Banished Rise.

Compared to yesterday’s offering, today’s video is a lore heavy tease. It features former War Chief Escharum, who delivers a powerful warning to Master Chief and what remains of humanity. Following the events of spin-off Halo Wars 2, Escharum has risen to the top of the ranks and now leads The Banished. Which is not great news for the UNSC.

Of course, that means it’s down to use as good-old Master Chief to stop him. As we found out yesterday, you’ll be traversing the world of Zeta Halo and taking out Banished strongholds. With the action taking place on the game’s biggest campaign to date, you’ll have your work cut out for you.

Escharum won’t be the only baddie you’ll have to look out for either. Yesterday’s trailer also warned us about Spartan Killer Jega ‘Rdomnai and the mysterious new character The Harbinger. We’ll find out how all of these characters fit together when Master Chief tussles with all of them in just over a month’s time. Halo Infinite and the Banished rise on December 8, 2021 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
