Halo 4’s Achievement list has revealed the game’s campaign to feature eight missions, but this should not be taken to mean the experience won’t be substantial, 343 Industries franchise development director Frank O’Connor has said.

“Number of missions has no bearing on the length of the campaign,” O’Connor wrote on NeoGAF. “It’s a Halo sized campaign. PLUS [Spartan Ops] etc.”

Designer David Ellis also chipped in with his two cents.

“[Spartan Ops] season alone is longer than [Halo 3: ODST],” he claimed. “Spartan Ops and Campaign are completely separate teams. As Frank mentioned earlier, the main campaign is substantial and will compare favourably with previous entries in the series.”

No need to be worried then.

Halo 4 will be released for Xbox 360 on November 6.
