Halo 4 has debuted in Japan with sales of 39,312, enough to see the game chart at No.3, according to figures released by Media Create.
In comparison to previous entries in the series, Halo 4 performed worse than Halo: Reach which managed 44,413 copies, but better than Halo 3 which could muster up only 29,734 copies in the opening week.
The Japanese chart was extremely top heavy this week, with Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Leaf shifting a massive 603,064 copies and helping bump 3DS hardware sales to 187,077 for the week.
