Halo 3: ODST is now available to download for Halo: The Master Chief Collection free of charge to early game adopters who logged into Live and played the collection between November 14 and December 19.

Those who didn’t play the game in this window can pick up the Halo 3 prequel campaign for £3.99.

ODST runs at 1080p 60 frames per second, but does not include the game’s multiplayer component. You’re still looking at a hefty 8.1 GB download.

Check out the video below in which 343 Industries’ senior game designer Max Szlagor and original Halo 3: ODST developer Joseph Staten discuss how Xbox One has enhanced the ODST experience.

Also available now as part of a free game update is the re-imagined version of Remnant from Halo 2 multiplayer. Remnant features a towering and iconic Forerunner megalith, weathered over untold millennia.
