Microsoft has announced the release dates for the next wave of content for its blockbuster titles Gears of War 2 and Halo 3.

Gears 2 is first in line to receive new content, with the four-map Snowblind pack due on March 31, priced 800 MS Points. Snowblind will included the maps Grindyard, Under Hill, Courtyard, and a frozen version of the “Gears of War” favourite, Fuel Depot.

The Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack is now officially due for release on April 9, also priced 800 MS Points, as was heavily hinted by Bungie. The pack will include the maps Assembly, Orbital and Sandbox, with the latter being perfect for use in Forge mode.

To hammer home the fact that the Xbox 360 is the platform for the best add-on content, Microsoft has also reminded everyone that it’s the only console getting Fallout 3 DLC (The Pitt is due on March 24), and that the Left 4 Dead Survival Pack will be arriving on April 21.
