Update: July 2 is also the release date for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions.

Original report: Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition will be released for PS4 on July 2, developer DrinkBox Studios has announced.

Brought over from PS3 and PS Vita, Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition includes all the content of the original game, plus all DLC and even more new content.

New additions include an extra save slot, costumes, two new levels, Intenso power, and a new boss called El Trio – a three-headed skeleton.

We enjoyed the game on its release last year, so the PS4 version should be worth a look. There’s also the promise of an upgrade discount, but DrinkBox hasn’t offered any info as yet.

Versions for Xbox One, Wii U and Xbox 360 are also in development.
