There are a bunch of exciting rumors for Grand Theft Auto 6. Claims about a massively increased player count for Online are supported by a patent from Take-Two Interactive, meanwhile, Rockstar job listings support rumors about a revolutionary app replacing the now defunct Rockstar Social Job. One of the biggest rumors to surface recently is 60fps for the PS5 Pro and, while nothing is official, another leaker has asserted “60fps is happening” while also teasing a GTA 6 “custom music mode” believed to be arriving post-launch.

GTA 6 leak corroborates 60fps and teases post-launch custom music mode

Recently, DetectiveSeeds has claimed 60fps for GTA 6 is happening on the PS5 Pro. There has been some scepticism because of DetectiveSeeds as a source with some pointing out how they are banned on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit and have posted some inaccuracies in the past. However, DetectiveSeeds claims their track record is 91% reliable so far, while also claiming they were banned from the sub for calling out a mod who, as a journalist, inaccurately reported that DetectiveSeeds deleted their Twitter and YouTube when they were actually hacked.

Whether you believe DetectiveSeeds or not, another leaker named HipHopGamer claims “60fps is happening”. They claim the 60fps story comes from them rather than DetectiveSeeds, but they don’t share specific platforms. They presumably mean the PS5 Pro like DetectiveSeeds, but it’s not explicitly stated.

In addition to claiming Grand Theft Auto 6 is “confirmed” for 60fps, they allege that “GTA 6 will also feature a mode similar to the ESPN NFL 2K5 custom music mode”. They further claim “it’s gonna be major,” but “most likely it will come post launch”.

We can’t vouch for the full reliability of HipHopGamer, but they have had insider sources at Take-Two before as they accurately leaked The Island for WWE 2K25 as well as intendergender matches. No one believed there would be a version of NBA 2K’s The City in WWE 2K25 along with male-on-female violence, but these features were confirmed weeks after HipHopGamer’s original leak.

Unfortunately, there’s no more details about the “mode similar to the ESPN NFL 2K5 custom music” other than it most likely being added post-launch. Previously, Grammy-winning music producer, Jermaine Dupri, has claimed he held discussions with Rockstar that involved artists such as Drake being able to “actually upload music that we probably ain’t never even heard online or wherever else”.

Nothing is official about 60fps or custom music in GTA 6, so don’t treat anything as gospel unless Rockstar make an announcement. It would obviously be fantastic for Grand Theft Auto to support 60fps, and we’re excited to see what Rockstar does with music as the previous GTA installments have all had unforgettable radio stations.

In other GTA 6 news, an analyst predicts the game will make over $7 billion in less than 60 days.
