Sales of Grand Theft Auto 5 have soared past the 3 million milestone in the UK faster than any other title, MCV reports.
The magazine reports that last month’s hit “has already overtaken sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in just four weeks, and is now snapping at the heels of FIFA 13”.
It’s also on track to become the biggest-selling title in the UK of all-time, “a feat it should achieve comfortably”, the mag states.
GTA 5 shot straight to the no.1 spot of the UK All-Formats Chart on its release last month but, due to its extraordinary week one sales, failed to beat FIFA 14 in the two weeks that followed.
It retook the top spot this week, knocking FIFA 14 down to second place.
GTA 5 has already broken multiple world records, including numerous sales records and one for being the most viewed trailer for an action-adventure game online.
