Grand Theft Auto 5 will make the transition from PS3 and Xbox One to PS4, Xbox One and PC with “across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail,” Rockstar Games has said.

Releasing this autumn, the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions will boast “increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions”. This apparently all works together to “bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans” of Southern California.

Other world enhancements include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and more.

GTA Online also benefits from the new generation upgrade, says Rockstar, whilst all new content and gamplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online – Jobs, weapons, vehicles, properties and player customizations – will also be included.

Current GTA Online players will also be able to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC.

And for PC players, a video editor designed for “advanced movie-making” will be featured.

Look out for GTA 5 on PS4, Xbox One and PC this autumn.
