Following the announcement that Gran Turismo 5 would miss its planned early November release, the game’s creator Kazunori Yamauchi has apologised to fans and called the delay “inexcusable”.
Taking to Twitter, Yamauchi said: “Apologies for the delay,” Yamauchi wrote (translated by Kotaku). “It’s because time and labour were spent ironing the kinks out of [the game’s] complex system. I’m really sorry. Everyone, it’s inexcusable… Wait a little longer.”
The game is now scheduled for release at some point before Christmas.
The delay of Gran Turismo 5 may be inexcusable, but no one is going to care once they get their hands on the game. That’s providing Sony can keep to its new pre-Christmas launch; anything later and we don’t want to think about the fallout it would cause.
