According to an update in Sony’s Japanese release schedule Gran Turismo 4 Mobile is now due in 2006. Anyone who hasn’t been living with false hope won’t be too shocked by this news. When the game failed to make an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show in September the chances of a 2005 release were pretty slim.
Even though GT4 Mobile was one of the first PSP titles to be announced (a video that looked rather too good was shown), details on the title are still pretty thin on the ground. All that’s really known is that as much of Gran Turismo 4 as possible will be ported over to the PSP game, but whether this means the game will be nothing more than a port remains to be seen.
With a rather vague 2006 date, we can’t help but think that we’re still in for a long wait. If we hear any more we’ll let you know.
