According to IGN, the game will be available either later in December or early in January. For those not familiar with the game, Gripshift isn’t your run-of-the-mill racing game. In fact it’s probably just as easily described as a puzzle game, with you having to search each level for icons to gain high scores.

Whilst the PSP game looked pretty good, the new PS3 version has been given a bit of an overhaul and will sport 720p visuals running at 60fps. The game will also feature 125 new and remixed levels set across 25 tracks, improved car handling and four-player online support.

The game was released as a budget title for the PSP, and PS3 owners will be able to get hold of the game for even less at only $9.99.
