Limited copies of the Green Lantern: Extended Cut on Blu-ray, due for US release on October 14, will come complete with a PS3 code for a Sinestro Corps outfit in Batman: Arkham City.
So far the skin has only been announced for US retail chain Best Buy, but a tipster told Joystiq that “certain other stores” would also be receiving the code.
The source also said “there’s a chance the costume will eventually be converted into DLC”. This might be the only way for people in the UK to get the skin, as no retailer has currently confirmed this promotion will be available on our side of the Atlantic.
For those without knowledge of Green Lantern, The Sinestro Corps were founded by ex-Green Lantern and all-round baddie Sinestro. They have, at one point in 2007, attempted to recruit Batman (Green Lantern volume 4 issue 17, if you’re interested), but the Dark Knight wasn’t having any of that.
Yesterday publisher Warner Bros. confirmed that the Nightwing DLC for Batman: Arkham City would be released on November 1 and cost 560MSP/£5.49.
Batman: Arkham City will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 21. A PC version is planned for November.
