Polyphony Digital has rolled Gran Turismo Sport update 1.29 out of the garage, bringing with it nine new cars including some swanky Italian and Super GT motors.

The PlayStation 4-exclusive racer has also received a new track in the shape of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which serves as one of Spain's biggest race tracks as well as the host of the country's F1 Grand Prix.

In addition, two new GT League events have arrived in the shape of MINI Challenge (Beginner League) and X2014 Nations Cup (Professional League).

Anyway, about those new cars…

  • Ferrari GTO ’84
  • Pagani Zonda R ’09
  • Maserati GranTurismo S ’08
  • Honda EPSON NSX ’08
  • Lexus PETRONAS TOM’S SC430 ’08
  • Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R ’08
  • MINI Cooper S ’05

Gran Turismo Sport was released on PS4 in October 2017 following nearly a year's delay, and has notched up over five million players worldwide. The franchise launched back in 1997 for the PSOne, and stands as Sony's biggest-selling first-party series of all time with over 80 million copies moved.

Polyphony Digital added microtransactions to GT Sport back in July, allowing players to fork out for vehicles that are priced under two million in-game credits.
