Fire Pro Wrestling World originally launched on Steam last year, but is coming to PlayStation 4 on August 28 with a number of new bits and bobs.
While the series has always been known for its custom content, it was announced back in January of this year that players will be able to compete using official New Japan Pro Wrestling superstars such as Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito and more. There's also a brand new scenario mode where you join NJPW as a young lion (rookie, basically) and climb the ranks to become Gedo's fav and world champ.
In the trailer below you can watch IWGP World Champion Kenny Omega playing the game and feeling the effects of what his on screen avatar is going through like some sort of modern day voodoo doll carry on. Thankfully, for Kenny, his NJPW tag team partner of Kota Ibushi saves him from the terrible pain he's being subjected to and then the two smash up a pillow with a Golden Trigger.
It's wonderful.
