It’s been announced that the stars of New Japan Pro Wrestling will be playable in Fire Pro Wrestling World once the game is released on PlayStation 4 later this year. No word on when the PC version will be updated with NJPW’s roster, but a Steam logo can be seen in the promotional image, so it’s surely only a matter of time.

There’s been no official word on what members of the New Japan roster will be in the game, but the picture that accompanied the announcement shows Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito, Kenny Omega, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe, and Ryusuke Taguchi, so it’s a safe bet that at least those six men are involved.

Fire Pro Wrestling has always traded off its creation suite, allowing players to create a whole host of combat sports stars (and whatever else, to be honest), but now you’ll be able to book officially licensed representations of Gedo’s talent.

This big reveal comes ahead of the league’s annual Wrestle Kingdom show in the Tokyo Dome tomorrow, which is co-main evented by Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho, as well as the highly anticipated battle between IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada and LIJ’s Tetsuya Naito.

Fire Pro Wrestling World is now out of Early Access as of mid-December and available on Steam, and PS4 owners will have the chance to get their hands on it this Summer.
