2018’s God of War may be among the PlayStation Plus offerings for June, if recent leaks are to be believed.

Spanish website Areajugones claimed yesterday that Kratos’ most recent adventure will be among next month’s offerings, alongside two other games. These claims were corroborated by Dealslab member and regular PS Plus leaker billbil-kun overnight, as spotted by Video Games Chronicle. Of course, the adventure won’t be the only offering, with Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl also apparently in the mix.

At the time of writing, PlayStation are yet to confirm these three games as this month’s titles. However, the announcement is indeed due for later this week. It’d certainly be an excellent incentive as the PlayStation Plus service transitions into its new form this month. If true, the games will make up the first three subscriber freebies in the newly dubbed Essentials tier.

It’s a very strong start to kick off the revamped PlayStation Plus service’s June with. In our original review of God of War from 2018, Alice Bell said the following; “God of War achieves a very impressive balance between the epic and the mundane, between the ultra violent and the domestic. It’s undoubtedly the coolest and most interesting God of War to date”. Excitement is also pretty high for the game’s sequel – God of War: Ragnarok – which we’re hoping to hear more on soon.
