Fallout 4 is out now, but before you get started in the wasteland be sure to update your Nvidia graphics driver to the brand-new Fallout 4, Star Wars: Battlefront and StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void Game Ready Driver.
The new driver promises to deliver the definitive Fallout 4 experience, adjusting game settings for a 60 frames per second optimal playable experience where available.
Nvidia has also conducted some tests and concluded that to get a 1080p/60fps Fallout 4 experience and high detail graphics you’ll need a GTX 970. To get that resolution bumped up to 2560×1440 you’ll need to upgrade to a GTX 980 Ti.
Be aware, however, that Fallout 4 will run on a lowly GeForce GTX 550 Ti with 2GB of VRAM for 1280×960, minimum setting visuals and 30 FPS.
