Microsoft has announced that the Gears of War 3 multiplayer Beta will kick off in April. The beta will feature three multiplayer game modes and four maps. Two of the maps have been chosen by Epic, while a Facebook vote will determine the other two.
The four maps included in the vote are Overpass, Old Town, Mercy and Trenches. The voting ends on February 28.
Gamers who buy Bulletstorm Epic Edition for the Xbox 360 will get access to the beta, but Microsoft has stated that there will be other ways to take part.
We’ve seen numerous betas over the years, but this does appear to be one of the biggest. Four maps and three game modes should keep gamers happy over the course of the beta, although how long it’ll run for hasn’t been announced.
