Gearbox is working towards announcing a new game for next-gen game later this year, Randy Pitchford has revealed
Responding to a fan on Twitter, the Gearbox president wrote: “We’re working on next-gen. Platforms TBD.
“We’ll probably announce something later this year.”
Pitchford has previously confirmed that the Borderlands studio is working on two new IPs in addition to other ongoing projects, but Borderlands 3 is not said to be in development.
Borderlands fans will have to get their fix from Telltale’s Tales from the Borderlands adventure game series.
We might get a further hint at what Gearbox is working on during its annual “Inside Gearbox Software” panel at PAX East 2014 on April 13.
