Bandai Namco has released a number of new videos for Dragon Ball FighterZ, in the build up to the closed beta beginning this weekend. The latest video is the character introduction for Frieza, the diminutive maniac who’s capable of destroying a planet with a pink ball of electricity, and God knows what else.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is being developed by Arc System Works, the folks behind the pretty good Guilty Gear, and it’s been garnering quite a bit of interest. So far it seems to have captured the visuals, the speed, and insane levels of action the Dragon Ball series is renowned for.

There’s a closed beta for the game this weekend, which runs through September 16-18 on PS4 and Xbox One. The beta will feature nine playable characters for players to have a dabble and grapple with. As with all beta processes, the timings of the sessions could change, but hopefully it all goes without a hitch.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be released in early 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One.
