The buzz around Disney and Fortnite’s partnership is growing rapidly among fans as they await the next announcement from either company at the upcoming D23 Brazil event. The latest round of collab between the two brought Disney Villains Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella De Vil as skins in the game.
However, the latest leaks have suggested a much-awaited collab is arriving very soon, something that players have requested for a long time in Fortnite. Here’s all we know about it.
Fortnite is finally bringing Disney’s Cars to the game
Cars is one of Disney’s most popular animated film franchises. Lightning McQueen’s journey is something that all 2000s kids watched and grew up with. The series collaborated with Epic and Psyonix to bring Cars skin Lightning McQueen to Rocket League.
However, at the time, there was no way for those cars to appear in Fortnite, but fans hoped that such a collaboration would also occur in Battle Royale. But with the addition of Rocket Racing and car sharing between the two games, the Cars collaboration is finally ready to appear in Fortnite, according to the latest reports.
Some leakers suggest that this collab may be the one that Disney announces at D23 Brazil, however, some believe it could be the theme of the next Rocket Racing season. Still, excited players turned in their thoughts where one said, “Sally about to be the next Mrs. Incredible situation.”
Another wrote, “Since we’re getting cars, what’s stopping them from giving us Planes?” A third user commented, “This is going to be epic! Excited to see how they combine the worlds of Fortnite and Cars. Can’t wait for the details!”
As of now, it’s currently unknown if a new model of Lightning McQueen and more characters will be available or if the ones from Rocket League will be permitted to be used in Fortnite.
