Fortnite developer Epic Games has revealed it plans on rolling out the Android version of the game (which Drake really wants to make a song about, in case you forgot) this summer.

The battle royale version of the shooter was previously released for iOS devices back in March, and Epic's now confirmed that Android users will soon be able to experience it for themselves soon enough.

There's no date yet, but we'll keep you posted.

Speaking of iOS, Epic has announced a range of fresh updates for the mobile version of the game are in the pipeline.

Writing in a 'State of Mobile' update on its website, the former Gears of War studio confirmed that customisable HUD is now available, with voice chat also on the horizon, including the ability to have a chinwag with your teammates 'regardless of platform.'

Elsewhere, the studio is working on various game performance updates, such as a battery-saver mode and various stability enhancements to iron out any lingering bugs and issues.

Fortnite is pretty much the most popular game on the planet ride now, and recently offered up a limited-time mode featuring Avengers Infinity War villain Thanos as a playable character.
