Epic Games' Fortnite has chalked up an absolute beast of a milestone, with a report on SuperData Research confirming the game is now the biggest free-to-play console game of all time.
The massively popular Battle Royale title, which is available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, notched up $233 million across all formats last month, which represents a 73% increase over February. Apparently, the jump is largely thanks to the release of a new Battle Pass Season and the addition of a John Wick skin.
It's also worth noting that its primary competitor, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, can't hold a candle to Fortnite in terms of revenue and monthly active users. It's worth pointing out though that PUBG is only available on PC and Xbox One at present, so PS4 isn't part of the equation in this respect.
Not only has Fortnite managed to rake in some impressive achievements, but it's also garnered mainstream attention thanks to musician Drake, who it turns out is actually a pretty big fan. In fact, he'll even pen some lyrics about the game in a new song if Epic introduces a Hotline Bling emote in the game.
