Epic Games has announced that it will be releasing a new Hand Cannon weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.

No stats have been released so far, although generally in gaming anything called a Hand Cannon packs quite a punch (just ask Resident Evil’s Barry Burton). Indeed, this seems to be the case with Fortnite, with a teaser video released by Epic showing the weapon — which looks an awful lot like a Desert Eagle-style magnum — levelling a structure in a single shot.

Of course, you should expect that firepower to come at a price, typically in the shape of a massive recoil to balance out its incredible stopping power. There’s currently no word on when you’ll be able to get your hands on the weapon, but Epic says it will release ‘soon.’

Fortnite is continuing to pull in the punters, with the game recently smashing the record for concurrent players previously held by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.Â
