Epic Games just made a couple of changes to season-ending dates in Fortnite. This was quite unexpected, but it may have something to do with the latest delay. Originally, Epic was supposed to release the v37.30 update on Tuesday, September 9. Instead, the update was pushed for Wednesday, which may have caused even more changes.

If you play Fortnite’s OG or Festival modes, you will have to finish seasonal passes sooner. Both of these modes have been affected by recent changes and will now end earlier than expected.

Two different Fortnite seasons will end sooner than previously scheduled

The current Fortnite Festival season features Gorillaz, who made their debut on August 26. Originally, the 10th season of the musical game mode was scheduled to end on October 14, making it the shortest Festival season. However, Epic Games decided to make it even shorter, as its ending date was moved to October 10.

On the other hand, the Fortnite OG season was also changed. OG Season 5 was initially scheduled to conclude on October 3, but it was affected by the latest change. Fortunately, this is not a big deal, as the season will now end a day earlier, on October 2.

If you play either of these game modes, make sure to unlock all of the items from their passes before they end. With these changes, you are now left with less time to level up and complete seasonal passes, especially if you own the Music Pass. Fortunately, you can use one of the XP maps in Fortnite to level up quickly and unlock everything.

The next OG season will bring Season 6. However, Epic hasn’t confirmed anything about the next Fortnite Festival artist. The next major update is on September 16, and we might get more details about the future content with it.
