With Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 well underway players are already looking to future seasons hoping for a bit of nostalgia to take over at some point. Many will remember Fortnite’s Save the World PvE mode that was initially set to be Fortnite’s main mode before the Battle Royale version of the game blew up. Players are now hoping that the Save the World theming and aesthetic will be the main focus of a future Fortnite season.

Taking to the Fortnite Reddit, players were quick to note their enthusiasm at the idea of a Save the World season in the game’s Battle Royale mode. One player noted that Epic could even bring back Dr Vinderman as a “crazed/hermit scientist who got into Reality Zero by accident, while others thought he died during the experiment.” Alongside this, one player said, “Would be cool. Vinderman as tier 100.”

Another player pondered the question of how many zombies Epic would be able to fit onto the Battle Royale map. They said, “It would be cool. Just wonder how many zombies they would put all over the map.” User Duckyboi10 put forward a possible way Epic might implement the zombies saying, “Probably in the form of encampments that behave like sideways encounters from chapter 2 season 8 and spawn in a different place every match.”

The idea of husks wandering the Battle Royale map in huge numbers was the most appealing aspect of a Save the World season for a lot of players. One player said, “I’d be totally down for a map filled with husks.” If Epic ever would consider the idea it’d certainly be an interesting change of pace for Fortnite Battle Royale.

In other Fortnite-related news, Fortnite fans get nostalgic for this forgotten location and Fortnite players are swooning over the new Purradise Meowscles skin.
