Over the past seven and a half years, Epic Games has released thousands of skins to Fortnite. Some of these skins return on a monthly basis, while others stay in the vault for years. One of the rarest skins, Psycho Bandit, was updated with the v34.40 update, indicating its return in the near future.
This rare Fortnite skin was added in Season X with the Borderlands 3 collaboration and was an instant hit. Interestingly, over the past six years, Epic has released it only eight times, making it extremely rare. However, with its return around the corner, the skin will become quite common.
Will Psycho Bandit return to Fortnite soon?
While Epic Games hasn’t confirmed it yet, Psycho Bandit will likely return to Fortnite over the next few weeks. His in-game bundle was updated on Tuesday with the v34.40 update, and he’s now ready for a re-release. Most of the time, Epic releases updated bundles within two weeks. However, there have been some situations where updated bundles have come out, which is the case with Kratos, another rare skin.
Nothing is set in stone at the moment, but if we had to guess its re-release date, late April sounds accurate. With Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 3 launching on May 2, most of the new and updated cosmetics should come out by then.
Psycho Bandit was first released on August 27, 2019. This was during Season X, which had a collaboration with Borderlands 3 and a Pandora location on the island. Ever since then, Epic has released the skin only eight times, and it was last seen on May 31, 2020, nearly five years ago. Due to this, Psycho Bandit is currently the eighth-rarest skin in Fortnite.
Besides the skin, Epic will bring back the other items in the bundle, including Diamond Pony, one of the rarest gliders in the game.
