Fortnite players are extremely critical when it comes to things being added to the game that affect their gameplay experience or something related to completing quests to grind for XP. For instance, players have been critical about War Machine’s Hover Jets and Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso emote in the past few days, both of which have now been taken out of the game due to backlash.
Now similarly, players are slamming Epic for a new item that has been introduced during Fortnitemares 2024, to an extent that they’re calling it “hot garbage” and are not pleased by the addition to the game. While you might think it’s a skin or an in-game weapon; it isn’t.
“This is worse than Thick of It”, say Fortnite players for free Halloween track
Fortnite players are now rallying against Epic on the FortniteBR subreddit on the new free Jam Track called Nightmare’s Choice that can be claimed as a free Fortnitemares 2024 quest reward. The Jam Track is a rap song which has a Shadow Monks skin on its cover and talks about a more darker world of Fortnite in the lyrics through the eyes of the Ultima Carver.
While the concept sounds cool, it did not strike a chord with players who were quick to diss it as a possible collab between “NF and Dax”. The even went so far to appeal Epic to “ban the rapper” from the microphone forever.
One such player also wrote, “Where is a ‘this is halloween’ music track when you need one?” Another user chimed in and took a blow at KSI, “This is worse than Thick of It.”
Users also compared the vocalist to a “TikTok Rapper” and also said the song “goes hard on mute.” On the other hand, others simply expected a spooky halloween instrumental track rather than a vocal one, with reasons obvious since Rocket League is providing its players with better options.
