Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has been another successful launch for Epic Games, but the fanbase is divided over the lack of mobility that has come with the latest season, as well as Epic’s decision to vault the Red-Eye assault rifle in favour of the MK-Alpha AR.

Taking to the Fortnite Reddit, user EvryArtstIsACannibal aired some grievances they had about the new end zone circles saying, “The final circles that move wildly from one side where you set up, to a completely different side of the circle is pretty painful with no mobility items. They really need to change this and give us a way to move quickly. Give us some shockwaves at least. Cars and riding wildlife isn’t cutting it.”

This sentiment was shared by another user known as seattlesound1004 who added to Cannibal’s comment saying, “It’s not working on places such as areas in snowy mountains, or high ground canopies. Some people think mobility is just stupid and for low-skilled, but at zero build, it’s a necessity to have mobility. Either they add back the swords or change the storm rotations back to how it was, and only for zero build.”

Despite these comments, there has also been a lot of praise from some players on Epic’s new direction for Fortnite this season with user Pineappleboiiiiii saying they “enjoy it more without movement” because “people can’t get popped once and fly halfway across the map to heal. Be smart about your position and surroundings.”

Other users such as HumbleAd7085 were also quick to point out that there are still a number of mobility options such as “dinosaurs, cars, vines, mud, slap juice etc.” even if there are “no straight mobility items.”

Alongside the conversation about mobility in the latest season players have also been torn on the reintroduction of the MK-Alpha AR and the vaulting of the Red-Eye AR. Twitter user RobbinsJason replied to the announcement on Twitter by saying, “So they don’t want us fighting long range at all it seems.” On the other hand, some players have welcomed the change with user iKezza_ tweeting, “W MOVE FROM FORTNITE!”

With Chapter 4 Season 3 only really beginning players only have one day left to claim the free Coldest Circle Quest Pack. Alongside this, Fortnite recently made changes to its ban policy in relation to FNCS which will now allow popular streamer and competitor Clix to take part in the upcoming FNCS.
