Epic Games just released another major Fortnite update. The update brings lots of new content for almost every game mode, from Battle Royale to Ballistic. Furthermore, the game developer has added several things that will be released soon, such as a new Reload map.
In this article, we will take a look at the latest Fortnite patch notes and show you everything that came on April 8.
What did today’s Fortnite update add?
The highlight of today’s Fortnite update is Season 8 of the Festival mode. The season brought a new Music Pass, featuring Sabrina Carpenter. In addition to this, Epic Games released several tweaks for this game mode and brought even more cosmetics.

- New emotes and instruments
- Available for purchase and included with Fortnite Crew
- Major Ballistic overhaul
- New Shell maps: Hammer Fall and Storm Chaser Cove
- New weapons: Burst Assault Rifle and Sovereign Sniper
- New Gadgets: Fire Grenade and Overdrive
- Many new cosmetic items
- Sabrina Carpenter Item Shop cosmetics
- New LEGO Fortnite starter pack
- Adventure Time collaboration
- New FNCS skin
- The meteor in Fortnite OG has gotten bigger
- Reboot Cards are now purchasable in Battle Royale
- Pickaxes can now be properly previewed in the Locker
Today’s Fortnite patch notes also reveal a new Reload map, which is based on Chapter 2. While this map was added with the v34.30 update, it’s not available right away, as its release date is Tuesday, April 15. Furthermore, the cosmetics items will be periodically released over the coming weeks.
The next Fortnite update is set to come out on April 22, so most of the new skins should be released by then.
