Fortnite OG fans are in for an even bigger treat in the near future, as the next Fortnite update – that’s 27.11 – will be bringing back Season X. Not only should this upcoming patch bring back plenty of memories for longtime battle royale players, but it will also re-enable players to use many of the items, equipment, and weapons that had long been removed from the game, such as the Junk Rift, the Heavy Sniper Rifle, and the Proximity Grenade Launcher among others.

Despite the reception towards the Fortnite update 27.10 being less than ideal, the following patch should receive more of a warm welcome since player reaction towards Epic Games’ decisions to bring back several beloved features from the past has primarily been positive. Of course, no matter how nostalgic, these new goodies may not be enough to make players immediately forget about the poor new Fortnite cosmetic guidelines.

Now, it’s also worth noting that the Junk Rift, the Heavy Sniper Rifle, and the Proximity Grenade Launcher aren’t the only items making their long-awaited return to the Epic Games battle royale. According to the developer’s extensive post, a few more familiar pieces of equipment will also be brought back in the Storm Flip and Jetpack, giving you even more ways of harassing your enemies and navigating chaotic build fights.

If that’s not enough, update 27.11 will also re-introduce a gimmicky vehicle first introduced in Season 8 called The Baller. If you were wondering why it’s called The Baller, it’s because that’s what it is. It’s a spherical ball large enough to seat one person that enables you to traverse large distances quickly through the use of its Boost and Grappler features. Oh, and did we mention you can use its Grappler an unlimited number of times?

With all these features set to arrive in Fortnite on November 23, you won’t want to miss out, so make sure to mark your calendars. While you wait, take a look at our guides on how to improve FPS in Fortnite, how long do Fortnite seasons last, and how many skins are in Fortnite.
