Epic Games is preparing a lot of new content for the next Fortnite chapter. According to many reputable leakers, the next chapter will likely be released later this year. Once again, we expect a new island and gameplay features, but many other changes as well.

It appears that the development team is working on another Fortnite nerf that will be released in a few months. Despite the chapter not having an official release date yet, it’s believed that it will come out in December 2023. Due to this, the next Fortnite season could be the shortest season of all time, lasting for only 28 days.

Here’s everything you need to know about the latest leak.

Upcoming Fortnite nerf will affect tactical sprint, the game’s core feature

With the release of Chapter 3 back in December 2022, Epic Games added a tactical sprint. This quickly became an essential feature, and many players can’t imagine Fortnite with it anymore. The feature has gone through several changes, and it appears that another change will come out soon.

According to GMatrixGames, a reputable leaker, Epic will nerf tactical sprinting next chapter. More specifically, the speed multiplier will be lowered from 1.4x to 1.3x. While this doesn’t sound like a big change, it’s effectively a 25% decrease in the extra movement speed.

It will be interesting to see if Epic Games will bring Slap Juice back to the game in Chapter 5. The upcoming Fortnite nerf will certainly make movement slower, but having infinite stamina would certainly make it better.

It’s important to note that the next Fortnite chapter is still at least a few months away. Due to this, Epic might change a few more things before they are released.

Considering that the last two chapters came in December, we expect Chapter 5 to follow suit, although the game developer hasn’t confirmed it yet. All of the content is subject to change, and Epic will certainly make a few more adjustments before the new chapter comes out.
