A new Fortnite update has just dropped, and it’s being called the most unfair and game-breaking one in recent memory. A major change to the popular Blitz Royale mode has completely changed the way the game is played, and not everyone is happy about it.

The new update gives every single player in the Blitz Royale mode a special item right from the start of the match. This change has made the mode into chaos, almost completely removing strategy or traditional combat. Fortunately, this update will be available throughout the weekend, and Fortnite will go back to normal on Monday.

Every Fortnite player now has the Saitama Medallion

The new update gives everyone the Saitama Medallion. This powerful item is a reference to the anime One Punch Man, and it gives the wielder a massive melee damage boost. The most shocking part of this update is that the medallion makes a player’s pickaxe strong enough to one-shot an opponent.

The Fortnite x One Punch Man collaboration was released earlier this week, and at first, the Medallion was quite rare. However, that is no longer the case, as everyone starts the match with it.

It’s important to note that this is only active in Blitz Royale. Since this is a fast-paced mode, adding the Medallion isn’t a bad idea. After all, Epic even had an Unlimited Kamehamehas event in early August. However, players who prefer traditional combat are now at a disadvantage, as the game has become a chaotic battle of who can land the first hit.

Epic Games clarified that this is a limited-time update, as the game mode will go back to normal on Monday. However, the weekend will surely be chaotic and filled with intense melee combat.
