The newest Fortnite season has finally brought the Mortal Kombat collaboration. Sub-Zero, one of the most popular MK characters, is a perfect addition and can be unlocked by leveling up the Battle Pass. However, this character is not the only one to come with the collab. According to the latest leak, Epic Games will add more content later in the season, including a Fatality move.
Fatality is a gameplay feature that allows Mortal Kombat characters to perform finishing moves on their defeated enemies. While this would be a perfect way to celebrate a Victory Royale, Fatality moves are generally brutal and graphic, which doesn’t fit Fortnite’s theme.
Will Fatality moves come with the Fortnite x Mortal Kombat collaboration?
Besides Sub-Zero, Epic Games will likely add Scorpion later in Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 2. Unlike the Battle Pass character, however, Scorpion will be an Item Shop skin, according to leakers. When the new character drops, the Fortnite creator will add another Mythic item, and it will contain a Toasty Fatality move.
According to Shiina, a veteran leaker, the Myhic weapon will also include a few other moves, including uppercuts and air kicks. While the upcoming item sounds exciting, it will be interesting to see how Epic will implement a Fatality move. After all, Scorpion’s signature move burns enemies alive, which is a bit too much for Fortnite.
Scorpion’s release is still likely a few weeks away, so details about the leaked Fortnite item remain scarce. There’s even a chance Epic Games might rework Toasty Fatality into an emote, which would make more sense, as it wouldn’t affect other players in the game. For now, though, we’ll have to wait a little longer to learn all the details about the new Mythic.
