Lewis Hamilton, a record-breaking Formula One driver, will soon come to Fortnite. Epic Games revealed the new Icon Series skin on Wednesday, showing what it will look like in the game. Hamilton will soon join Fortnite’s impressive lineup of world-class athletes, such as LeBron James and Neymar Jr.

When will Lewis Hamilton come to Fortnite?
Epic Games released a short video on Wednesday, teasing the release of Hamilton’s Fortnite skin. The video came out just to make Fortnite fans hyped about the skin, but fortunately, Epic also revealed its release date. The Lewis Hamilton skin will arrive on Friday, November 17, at 7 PM Eastern Time.
The skin will be available in the Item Shop
Lewis Hamilton’s Fortnite skin will be released to the Item Shop on Friday. You will be able to purchase it with V-Bucks.
Unfortunately, this will not be a free Fortnite skin. If you want to add Lewis Hamilton to your Fortnite locker, you will have to head over to the Item Shop and purchase the outfit. Considering that the OG Item Shop completely rotates every 24 hours, the skin may only be available for one day.
The video teaser shows two different styles of Lewis Hamilton’s Fortnite skin. However, Epic Games hasn’t clarified whether they are two different styles or separate skins. Additionally, the price of the skin is currently unknown as well, but it will likely cost around 1,500 V-Bucks.
Considering that Epic is working on a racing mode for Fortnite Chapter 5, adding a Formula One legend to the game makes a lot of sense. The mode will be very exciting and will likely have its own Battle Pass, but we’ll have to wait for more information about it from the game developer.

Epic Games hasn’t revealed the price of the Lewis Hamilton Fortnite skin. However, many other skins from the Icon Series rarity are priced at 1,500 V-Bucks, so we expect this one to follow suit.
How long will the skin stay in the Item Shop?
It’s hard to say for sure, but it may only be available for 24 hours during its release day. The OG Item Shop completely rotates every day, which is why you only have limited time to buy skins.
Will other Formula One drivers come to Fortnite?
At the moment, it doesn’t seem that Epic Games is working on adding more Formula One drivers to Fortnite. However, considering that the company has collaborated with many companies and celebrities, we expect some of Hamilton’s competitors to come to the game in the future.
