Fortnite and Disney have Epic plans to introduce new worlds within the Fortnite ecosystem later in 2025, but as of now they have only added iconic characters as skins to the game. To date, characters from Disney films, Marvel, and Star Wars franchise have been added, with Disney Villains being the latest outfits on the roster.
All of these were announced in August 2024 when Disney hosted their annual D23 event and rewarded players with a free back bling and the big reveal of the current Marvel season, Absolute Doom. However, a new leak has emerged which hints at a bigger Disney collab is set to be announced very soon.
Fortnite set to announce future plans with Disney at D23 Brazil in November
According to leaker ShiinaBR, Fortnite & Disney will make new announcements for upcoming content at D23 Brazil that is set to take place on November 9, 2024, just a week after Chapter 2 Remix arrives in the game.
The program schedule for that weekend clearly states that there will be Epic Games announcements during the show, so players can expect individuals from the Disney and Fortnite brands to make major reveals.
This may also include content for the upcoming Chapter 6 which is set to arrive on December 2, and what lies ahead in 2025 for the larger Disney collab in the game.
However, it is currently unknown if players would be able to watch the event within Fortnite like they did a couple of months ago, or would have to rely on official Disney channels online to watch it. Plus, a free reward like the Peelverine Back Bling also hasn’t been announced yet, so don’t expect any items just yet.
Although, based on recent news about restrictions on weapons to be held by Disney characters in Fortnite, fans can expect a reveal of how the Disney gateway might look if it’s added as a new game mode. But still, it’s too early to say given Epic is still setting up for its finale event in the current Marvel season.
