Fortnite has transformed its platform by collaborating with music artists and rappers, resulting in a distinct blend of entertainment that connects players all around the world. Collaborations with stars such as Travis Scott, who changed the game with his virtual concert in 2020, and Ariana Grande, whose debut in 2021 brought her iconic tunes and flair to the Fortnite realm, have been especially noteworthy.

These crossovers featured not just new skins and emotes, but also live in-game events, allowing millions of people to interact with music in ways never before possible. Among the most well-known collaborations, Eminem’s appearance in 2024’s Chapter 2 Remix stood out, allowing fans to live the Slim Shady persona in the game.

However, one collaboration has been much awaited by the Fortnite community, with the late rapper XXXTentacion where his fans have long desired his inclusion in the game, citing his tremendous impact on modern music.

Fortnite x XXXTentacion collab to bring new emote and jam tracks

According to leaks and trusted data miners, Epic Games is collaborating with XXXTentacion’s producer, John Cunningham, to incorporate the artist’s legacy into the game, promising new items such as skins, emotes, and more to celebrate his ongoing influence. However, this rumor was confirmed by the rapper’s frequent collaborator and friend Ski Mask who revealed some specific details.

Ski said, “I’ve seen the X emote, pretty crazy. They’ve got a whole thing planned. I don’t know when exactly, Fortnite & John Cunningham [X’s Producer] are cooking up.”

Recently with Fortnite’s patch 33.20, XXXTentacion’s Icon Series emote called “Look At Me” was decrypted with an item description that said, “X Marks The Me.” Upon hearing about the collab’s confirmation, several fans turned in their enthusiasm.

One such fan wrote, “Just an emote? Well, that’s cool I guess. I hope they decide to surprise us.” Another chimed in, “I have trust in John that he knows how to make people happy with this collab. I can’t wait to be rocking an indigo hairstyle, then next game playing with his blonde and black hairstyle.”

While there’s heat cooking up around the emote and an XXXTentacion collab, another crossover is on the horizon to bring a new Kaiju into the game with the existing Godzilla wreaking havoc on the Fortnite map.
